WOW! What a weekend!

Mary Margo's big debut was Friday in the school play. The 3 and 4 year olds preformed The Polar Express. Mary Margo was a kid on the train. Her costume was her pj's with her special touch.... her rain boots because it was raining that morning.

Here she is on the train sitting very quiet and patient while the tumbling class preformed. She had already done her forward roll at this point. We got it on video. The camera wasn't quick enough to get a shot.

Now for the fun part. I would love to say that Mary Margo sang every song and did exactly what she had practiced. But instead she spent most of the program with her head in her shirt. THAT'S RIGHT!! The crazy kid in the play was ours. It was hilarious! Dusty just shook his head and I laughed.
We can look at it this way, her role was to play a kid.... and that is what she did. A silly little girl, unpredictable, and very entertaining. Eventually, Ms. Toya noticed what she was doing and convinced her to stop.

After the play, her class had a Christmas party. Below is a picture of her and one of her teachers, Ms. CeCe. We are so thankful for such wonderful teachers and an awesome school.

Mary Margo and her best friend Natalie. I really wish I had gotten more pictures with all her other best friends, Jamie, Haygood, Mary McKennon, Ella Grace, and the list goes on and on. You know, at 3 everybody is your best friend at some point or another. Even me and Dusty make the list occasionally.

That night we had a little get together at Barbara and Kendal's house. Ms. Barbara loves to give the little one's noise makers. This Christmas the noisy gift of choice was a microphone. Mary Margo, Francie, and Collin put on a concert for us while Barbara accompanied them on the piano.

Then it was time for a piano concert! Beautiful music!

then I tried the IMPOSSIBLE. A picture of the three amigo's .... all smiling, all looking at the camera, all saying CHEESE...

The Advent
So, Dusty and I started this tradition either or first or second Christmas after we got married. We have had so much fun over the years buying each other cheap silly gifts for each day of December. Well, this year we handed the tradition over to Mary Margo. This has been the year that she has really understood all the magic of Christmas. She has had a blast opening all the little doors to see what's hiding behind. Some days it's toys and others candy. the best one so far has been stick-on earrings from the dollar spot at target. I never dreamed they could be so exciting. She has me put a pair on and then runs to the bedroom to look in the mirror at them. She really thinks she is something. I look forward to sharing this tradition for many years to come.

Carving and Being Witchy

And there goes October! I can't believe it is already November. We have had lots fun this Fall with football games, pumpkin patches, school parties and all the festivities that Halloween brings. It has been packed! We did find time for a little family fun carving pumpkins. Me and Dusty have been carving pumpkins since we were dating. It is just a little something we do every year. Of course the last four years we have shared this little family tradition with Mary Margo. One year she LOVED playing in all the goo that comes out of the inside of the pumpkin. She even tried eating it. But this year was a different story. She didn't want us to touch her with the yuckiness. She chose to pick the seeds out of the goo instead. We did get her to stick her hand in once or twice.

Here are our creations! Dusty's Scary Face, Mary Margo's Silly Face, and My Funny Face

Mary Margo and Aubie! She LOVES him so much. She doesn't quiet understand that Aubie is there for everyone and not just her. She cries when she has to leave him.

Trick or Treat 2010
The Gang
McInnish Family, Powell Family, and Hall Family
The Bells had to cut out early so they didn't make the picture. Every year we trick or treat at the Powell's house because they have such a wonderful neighborhood. This year the kids really got it. They said "trick or treat" and "thank you" and all they want to do is EAT CANDY!

War Eagle Fly Down the Hill

We are teaching Mary Margo how to be a True Auburn Tiger.

Lesson #1: The correct response to "Roll Tide"
Her friend at school introduced her to two little four letter words that no true tiger ever lets pass over their lips - Roll Tide. She started saying it one Friday afternoon after spirit day at school and it took all weekend to get it out of her vocabulary. Everyone knows, it's simple. Someone says "Roll Tide" to you and you say "War Eagle" back! This is hard for a 3 year old. She just kept saying Roll Tide back to Dusty. Poor thing, by Sunday I said "Roll Tide" to her and she looked at me all sad and said in a half whisper....."I don't want to say it". This was the turning point and from then on she yells War Eagle every time.

Lesson #2: The Fight Song
war Eagle Fly down the field ever to conquer never to yield (the correct words)
War Eagle Fly down the Hill never to conquer never to yield (Mary Margo's Version)
This needs a little work. thinking I should have started with Glory Glory to ole Auburn instead.

Lesson #3: Sitting thorough the WHOLE Entire 6:45 Game
We took her to the South Carolina game last weekend and she was SO GOOD! She loved it and had a great time watching, cheering and entertaining herself and everyone around.

Our little Tiger in Training. I asked her to smile pretty and this is what I got...we will work on this in tiger training too

This is the seat you get when you don't really have a ticket, on the floor with mom and dads feet. (I know - it's gross. But at the time it was entertainment)

Cheering for Auburn! Go GO GO!!!

3rd Quarter Entertainment - Free shaker from Tiger Rags. Pop out the coupon coin and you have a camera. Say Cheese!

And the Finale - Toomer's Corner after a big win! Two happy girls @ 10pm or later....I can't remember.
