We Must Ever Be Friends

This past weekend we had Mary Margo's birthday party. A good friend was nice enough to take pictures for me. Just got them back today and she captured so many good times with great friends. But this has to be my favorite. This is several still pictures of Francie's arrival at the party. If only you could hear the squeals and laughter coming from Mary Margo and Francie as they run to each other. They are the best of friends and I hope this friendship last a life time.

Convo about Sister

Mary Margo - "this is my brother"
Mommy - "your brother! In a pink dress? I don't think so. That would be your sister. She is a girl"
MM - "this is my sister"
Mommy - "Do you want to be a sister? Like Francie is Foster's sister and Aunt Mandy is My Sister. You want mommy to have a baby so you can be a sister."
MM - "NO! I don't want to be a sister."
Mommy - "Good. That works for me."

Now the new baby doll is known as Sister. That's her name.
And I say, "Yay! The baby has a name."
I was afraid her name would be "breakable baby" It's porcelain - Mary Margo always names things what they literally are. Big, Little, etc. Read the last blog for more explanation.

Mary Margo with sister and big baby

Side story - way before the convo about sisters. I was telling Mary Margo that we needed to give the new doll a name. I said what about Amanda. I don't know why. She just looks like an Amanda. Guess what that is my sister's name. Weird!

What a busy week!

Mary Margo and her new friend "Trudy" the dog. I had to come up with a name. A real name! If we had left it up to Mary Margo the dog's name would be black dog. Just like the bigger baby doll is "big baby" and the smaller baby doll is "little baby". We are working on imagination here. So I named the dog Trudy. If you are wondering where this name came from.....well, our current TV obsession is Mad Men. Trudy is a character from that show. I kinda like it!

We started our week with a new class, new teachers, and a new name for school...PRE-SCHOOL! Mary Margo loves it! She loves her new class and teachers, Ms. CeCe and Ms. Toya and playing on the BIG playground EVERYDAY! Her teacher says she is doing Great. On the first day she cut a perfect straight line with scissors (Mommy is SO PROUD) and today they told me that she loves to clean! Ha.. hopefully she will love to clean in 10 years when it counts. As for the word preschool.....I prefer not to use it. Makes her sound so BIG and although she will tell you all the time that she is a BIG GIRL I prefer to hold on to my baby girl just a little longer. : )

Tuesday night we started Dance class at Nix dance studio with our best gal pal, Francie. I really hope they are best friends forever! They are so cute together. The class is closed so we can't see what they are doing but from the sound of things they were having a BLAST! Mary Margo got her first pair of ballet shoes and tap shoes to bring home. Might have to limit the use of tap shoes at home. They are a little loud on the hardwoods. : )

All the little twinkle toes got suckers at the end of class! What a wonderful treat!

"I like that dance" is what Mary Margo kept saying when we got home that night.

Then Wednesday came along, Mary Margo had to have her first set of ear tubes. She looks so pitiful in this picture but she was a real SUPERSTAR! She didn't cry one tear. She hopped up on the bed and rode down the hall with the nurses like the biggest little girl I'd ever seen. She did great afterwards too. We came home and played and watched movies even did a little grocery shopping. By Wednesday night, you never would have known she was in the hospital that morning.

She even got a special delivery .... BALLOONS! How fun!
