Week #1

Just a little peek at what happened in our world this last week.
Oh by the way, it was my first week at my new full time job.....being a MOM!!

We visited with Friends

Dottie met Mollie and loved her!
We went to a Birthday Party!

Dottie Met Champ!

Mary Margo took a long ride on Champ.

We found a purpose for this crazy patio/porch/slab of concrete on the front of our house.

Dottie enjoyed the beautiful weather and watching sister HOP!

Mary Margo started a new school.  Her teacher told me make flash cards of  Sight words she will need to know for kindergarten.  I found it funny what I used to make them.  10 Years ago these were "well wisher" cards at my wedding.

Sweet Sisters holding hands and taking a little stroller nap.

We visited the turtles at the pond.  Except the turtles were asleep or something...they didn't want our crackers

I cranked up the Sewing Machine!  So EXCITING!!!

Sisters sharing laughs.

PEEK A BOO!
This is what we see every morning when this sweet little Sugar wakes up!  She peeks out of her crib and watches down the hall for us to come rescue her.

All Smile All the Time!

Rock and Roll and 26.2

Rock and Roll Marathon 2011!
Dusty signed up to run his second marathon in beautiful Savannah, GA.  I was lucky enough to tag along and be the all important spectator and marathon shopper while he ran 26.2 miles.  Hey, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it!
thank you to Nana and DoDaddy for keeping the kiddo's for Dusty and I to get away for the weekend.

We got to Savannah on Friday only to find that the Hyatt had overbooked and we would be staying in a "parlor" room.  The parlor room is basically the living room/kitchen to the suites on the top floor.

Here is our view from the 3 huge windows.  Right over the river!  Friday night there was a fireworks show over the river that was beautiful.

The Parlor has coffee beans in the full size kitchen with a grinder/coffee pot.  We thought this was great until we made two pots of disgusting coffee.  It was obvious we did not know the first thing about measuring coffee beans.

Here is our conference table

The flat screen over the fireplace.
Oh, and notice the couch....that would be our bed.
Yep that's right, the parlor has everything just NO BED!
this is still part of the parlor room....a library.
Just in case you run out of  breathtaking parks to walk through, haunted and historic tours to go on, or you have tasted all the delightful dishes this city has to offer....you can sit in your room and read a book.
Seriously, the room was great!  We couldn't help but laugh about it!

Enough about the parlor
Back to the reason we came...
Here is Dusty at 6am in the freezing cold dark start line.

Runners in the corrals and ready to RUN!

READY, SET, GOOOOOOO....

Just a little winded at the finish line.
YAY DUSTY YOU DID IT! YOU ROCK!
4:08

Tired spectator and VERY tired runner!
We had a fabulous time.  Savannah is such a lovely city.  Hope we get back there again one day!

It's pumpkin time

It's pumpkin time again!  We have visited the patch, petted the animals, carved the pumpkin, and most of all had lots of fun with friends!

Mary Margo holding a bunny baby

Feeding the goat that tried to make a meal out of her leg.
Yes, that's right this little baby goat thought it would be fun to nibble on Mary Margo's knee.  She didn't find it as funny as the goat.  She cried like the goat had just eat her leg off.  But we calmed down, realized her leg was still attached and there was no blood.  Then like all good parents (?), I made her go back in the pin, make friends with the goat, and then she fed him some leaves.

Mary Margo and her BFF Jayme

Dottie just looking cute...as always!

Collin telling Mary Margo how it's done!

All the sweet babies!

Dottie just chill'in with her ugly doll.
Really Mary Margo's ugly doll that we named Dottie LONG before sweet Dottie came along.

Four Year Olds and Fire
What a lovely combination!
