We are teaching Mary Margo how to be a True Auburn Tiger.
Lesson #1: The correct response to "Roll Tide"
Her friend at school introduced her to two little four letter words that no true tiger ever lets pass over their lips - Roll Tide. She started saying it one Friday afternoon after spirit day at school and it took all weekend to get it out of her vocabulary. Everyone knows, it's simple. Someone says "Roll Tide" to you and you say "War Eagle" back! This is hard for a 3 year old. She just kept saying Roll Tide back to Dusty. Poor thing, by Sunday I said "Roll Tide" to her and she looked at me all sad and said in a half whisper....."I don't want to say it". This was the turning point and from then on she yells War Eagle every time.
Lesson #2: The Fight Song
war Eagle Fly down the field ever to conquer never to yield (the correct words)
War Eagle Fly down the Hill never to conquer never to yield (Mary Margo's Version)
This needs a little work. thinking I should have started with Glory Glory to ole Auburn instead.
Lesson #3: Sitting thorough the WHOLE Entire 6:45 Game
We took her to the South Carolina game last weekend and she was SO GOOD! She loved it and had a great time watching, cheering and entertaining herself and everyone around.
